Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) is the first specialist digital, creative and performing arts academy outside of London. BOA is partnered with the BRIT School.
Rewired was initially appointed to raise awareness of the Academy in the run up to its opening to support admission enquiries and staff recruitment, and to continue to support the Academy during and after its launch period.
Since BOA's launch, Rewired's brief has expanded to include ongoing profile-raising for the school, its pupils and its staff, alongside event management.
Rewired has developed a strong working relationship with the Academy's Principal, ensuring a comprehensive overview of BOA's multifarious activity.
We have utilised our strong relationships with the regional media to ensure BOA is front-of-mind for print, online and broadcast opportunities relating to education.
We develop relationships with key correspondents in other regions to achieve coverage in wider regional publications, supporting the key message that the Academy accepts students from the wider West Midlands area. Rewired has also nurtured relationships with national education correspondents.
Additionally, Rewired provides BOA with its event management expertise, securing industry guests and speakers, and managing invites and press.
Rewired has sustained a regular media presence for BOA in Birmingham's regional print, online and broadcast media, and continues to achieve coverage in national mainstream and education media.
Since beginning work with BOA in 2011, Rewired has helped the Academy achieve year-on-year growth in terms of student enquiries and applications.
