Rewired started working as the retained agency for Bodhi in July 2010, with the initial aim of launching the brand and its new product line, Botanical Therapies.
Bodhi is a beauty brand with a difference; not only does it omit the use of harmful chemicals such as parabens - it is also good for your skin. It includes a high concentration of essential oils, making the product therapeutic to both body and mind.
Rewired was appointed to launch the Bodhi brand to the public and press. We were responsible for all aspects of the launch event including venue hire, catering, guest and host management, as well as attracting and generating press coverage.
Bodhi is a luxurious and prestigious brand, so Rewired created a 'Bodhi Spa' launch theme in which the venue was transformed into a private spa where guests could sample the products in a relaxed yet lavish environment.
- The Staying Cool Penthouse at the top of the Rotunda was selected as the venue for the. The Penthouse's fantastic views across the city soon became a talking point for guests.
The rooms were dressed with personalised Bodhi flannels, towels and bathrobes, as well as bespoke artwork on the walls.
In keeping with Bodhi's values of drawing inspiration from across the world, leading Birmingham restaurant Thai Edge was commissioned to provide food for guests.
All guests were able to try out the products and received a goody bag with a number of samples.
Guests included some of Birmingham's most influential people, including regional press and VIPs, as well as national industry press.
Coverage was secured in the regional press as well as in online fashion blogs, one of which appeared on Vogue.com.
The event also helped to launch the ongoing PR campaign for the brand and product range.
Since its successful launch, Rewired has supported Bodhi as it has flourished, stocking nationally, launching further products and shipping overseas.
