To mark Global Entrepreneurship Week running from 14-20 November, spot factoring provider, The Interface Financial Group (IFG) is inviting potential business owners to investigate an alternative route into business.

The annual event, which takes place in over 100 countries and was launched in 2008, will see hundreds of events taking place around the country, and connects budding entrepreneurs with inspiring people who have made a success of their business.

IFG is marking the occasion by reminding would-be entrepreneurs that, with the UK ranked outside the world top ten for ease of starting a new business, investing in a franchise could be a prudent alternative to a blank-page new venture.

Given the current economic climate there is extra risk associated with starting a new business, which can be daunting and challenging at the best of times. However, statistics show franchises are more likely to survive and, unlike some franchise providers, IFG offers a comprehensive start-up programme which includes marketing in its package of life-long support for its franchisees.

With the financial crisis throwing many SMEs’ futures into doubt, IFG provides a safety valve when cash flow problems occur for those businesses already stretching their credit terms.

An alternative to credit, IFG’s spot factoring service provides funds of up to 90% against the value of a company’s outstanding receivables within 48 hours of agreement, placing working capital with the business to ensure survival and growth.

David Banfield, President of IFG, says: “This is a difficult time for SMEs everywhere, so spot factoring companies like IFG are increasingly popular. This means there is a lot of business available for franchisees, and having an established name over the door, with ongoing support from IFG, also means you don’t have to worry about spending a fortune on advertising.”

IFG’s model is unique as it allows companies to use its services on an ad-hoc basis, leaving franchisees in control of their workload. Positive feedback from franchisees has helped IFG achieve World-Class Franchise® certification from the Franchise Research Institute for the past six years.

Founded in 1972, IFG is the leading alternative funding source for small business, providing short-term financial resources, including spot factoring and purchase order funding. The company serves clients in more than 30 industries in the UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and provides innovative spot factoring solutions by offering short-term working capital to growing businesses.
