MISSION:
In the heart of England, Derbion is home to over 200 well-known brands and retailers, including NEXT, Zara, M&S, Jack Wills, H&M Home, Søstrene Grene and a 127,000 sq. ft department store for Frasers, Sports Direct, USC and GAME, plus a vibrant Food Terrace and a leisure hub.
Our work with the shopping destination began in 2019 when Intu Derby appointed us to deliver PR and campaign support. In 2021, the centre was acquired by its current and independent owners, after which it rebranded to Derbion.
Approach:
Working closely with the centre’s dedicated marketing team, we support and deliver Derbion’s PR strategy, announce new retailer openings, and drive local engagement and footfall across the centre’s catchment area through innovative and creative campaigns. We also support Derbion with crisis comms, community and influencer engagement, emerging projects and more comprehensive plans across the city.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Over the years, as well as managing a busy press office and promoting a calendar of in-centre seasonal events, we have launched the centre’s rebrand to Derbion, revealed the shopping destination’s investment of over £3.6m into its F&B offer, supported the grand openings of major brands including River Studios, Søstrene Grene and Popeyes, and announced a number of significant, multi-million-pound projects.
In the past year alone, we secured 640 pieces of positive media coverage, reaching an audience of 637 million readers across online, print and broadcast publications.
