Twycross Zoo

“Oh no! It’s a Gruffalo”

MISSION:

Working with Twycross Zoo since 2020, we devise and deliver an exciting and wide range of PR activity and programmes, helping the zoo to build and develop relationships with key target media and secure quality media opportunities in high-reach and relevant regional and national publications. 

Approach:

We manage the press office for the conservation charity and develop and deliver creative PR campaigns that help generate widespread national and regional PR and social media engagement and drive awareness, ticket sales and positive press coverage for the zoo.  We create exciting animal stories, support the zoo’s seasonal events calendar, proactively research and secure opportunities for Twycross Zoo to maximise its share of voice, and lead the zoo’s influencer engagement throughout the year.

HIGHLIGHTS:

In 2022, we supported launching and opening the UK’s first Gruffalo Discovery Land at Twycross Zoo. This multi-million, four-acre interactive land aims to inspire the zoo’s youngest visitors about the importance of conservation and protecting the natural world. 

We were proud to have secured 356 pieces of strong regional and national coverage throughout The Gruffalo Discovery Land’s launch, reaching 221 million people. We arranged 83 media and influencer visits timed to the opening.
